Saturday, July 4th, 2009

If you are now at the end of your wits and you feel like your head and jaw is going to crack because of TMJ or temporomandibular joint dysfunction, then, it is the right time to find a good remedy for symptoms like jaw pain, teeth clenching sleep at night and TMJ in general. Experts say that the best way to eradicate TMJ is to vist a dentist and inquire about it. Either he would recommend a dental implant, an operation on your jaw & if you’re not a likely candidate for surgical procedures, he would opt for some TMJ appliances to help you stop teeth-clenching and jaw-popping. But sad to say, these techniques and gadgets are not that friendly on the wallet but you don’t have to worry. If even they say that these remedies are the best, they are not the only best ones. Why, you can even ask help from a chiropractor like this TMJ New York City chiropractor and he can get rid of your TMJ problem for good just by using his hands and nothing more.

But why New York? New York is just an example of a city where the best chiropractors are thriving and are in-demand right now to people even to those who are living hundreds of miles away from the Big Apple and you could be one of them. The fact of the matter is, some of faraway people would invest their time to get help from a TMJ NYC chiropractor to get rid of TMJ for good. But you really don’t have to do that, too. Maybe, in your area, you can find a chiropractor but be sure that he is qualified like this TMJ chiropractor.

Electromedicine: 5 Reasons For Pain Relief

Saturday, July 4th, 2009

Electromedicine is a powerful tool for relieving pain.  It is recommended by many health practitioner’s world wide to help their patients with pain and is considered a favorable option for at least five important reasons:

  1. Safe and easy to use
  2. Noticeable results
  3. No negative side effects
  4. Non-addictive
  5. More natural approach

Electromedicine Is Safe and Easy to Use

Electromedicine is safe and easy to use for pain.  Electromedicine instruments can be used while watching TV or while working at a computer.  The more advanced electromedicine instruments can also be used while sleeping.

In addition, it is safe and easy to use with all ages.  Some electromedicine instruments can be used by the entire family for pain and other body ailments and symptoms.

Electromedicine Provides Noticeable Results

Some electromedicine instruments are extremely effective and provide noticeable results with better quality of life issues for most patients.  With one of the most advanced electromedicine instruments called the Photon Genie, people on morphine and other strong drugs for pain have been able to reduce and in many cases eliminate the drugs all together.

Athletes that use electromedicine like the Photon Genie have accelerated their healing time from sports injuries. It helps relieve both swelling and the pain from swelling.

No Negative Side Effects With Electromedicine

Another benefit of electromedicine is that there are absolutely no negative side effects.  All pain medications have side effects that can inhibit quality of life and over the long term can be life threatening.  Pain medications slow down the natural functions of the body and can weaken the immune system and restrict normal functions of organs of the body like the brain.  Electromedince has just the opposite effect and actually can empower systems and organs of the body.  In addition to alleviating pain, it can help promote more mental clarity and sharp mindedness.

Electromedicine Is Not Addictive

Unlike pain medications, electromedicine is not addictive. Many people become addicted to prescription pain killiers and go through a lot of difficulty with the effects of these pain killers and the challenges for the body to get back to a normal and more balanced energetic state.

Electromedicine Is Holistic

Electromedicine is a holistic approach for pain and healing with a more natural effect on cells, organs and systems of the body.  For example, the Photon Genie helps alleviate pain by charging and balancing the energy of the cells and harmonically moves and balances the fluids of the body.  It communicates at the cellular level and promotes energetic balance continually.  This allows the body to regenerate and heal in harmony with the natural balance of powerful cellular energy.

Caffeine - Both a Cause and a Cure

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

Few people know that caffeine is actually a drug. It is likely the most used drug in the world.  Occurring naturally in a number of foods from coffee to chocolate, caffeine is a stimulant that’s legal and unrestricted in purchase, which is a rare thing indeed in the world of drugs.  Caffeine and headaches have often been linked as a result of withdrawal symptoms from the drug, but it also can be beneficial when suffering from a headache.  This article will discuss caffeine’s relationship to headaches both as a cause and a cure.

Caffeine as the Cause

One way that caffeine and headaches are linked is through the headache-causing effects of caffeine withdrawal. For headaches to result from caffeine withdrawal, the drinker has to consume a lot of coffee a day. Some say at least four to five cups.  However, those who consistantly drink a cup or two day after day over a long period of time may also experience withdrawal headaces.  Caffeine is quite unique from other drugs in that withdrawals are benign and it is extremely difficult to overdose.

****Side Bar****

It is likely that you will find the headache cures very effective.
Do you have a constant headache? Find help quickly!
Read about headache dizziness and its cures.

****Side Bar****

If you want to quit caffeine and avoid withdrawal headaches, then you should reduce consumption slowly over a number of days.  The former works well if you’re attempting to keep that pain from happening, but some people prefer to quit cold turkey and just get the headaches over with quickly, sort of like removing an adhesive bandage quickly.

As Headache Relief

Believe it or not, caffeine can also be used to treat headaches.  Do you take typical over-the-counter medication when you get a headache? Taking it together with a cup of coffee may increase its pain-relieving properties.  You may have noticed that some headache medications contain caffeine. Check the label next time.  A huge benefit with this is that caffeine can actually reduce the amount of medication you need to take. This is better for you body.

One thing to note is that caffeine is also a trigger for some people with migraines, meaning that taking caffeine will give headaches to some people, and as such, should be avoided as preventative medicine.  Migraine sufferers should avoid coffee, chocolate, and even the painkillers with caffeine so they don’t risk further headaches.  And there you have it! Caffeine is a drug that can both cause and cure headaches, depending on the circumstances.

Case Study Reveals Effectiveness of Thought Field Therapy

Monday, May 18th, 2009

Dr. Robert Pasahow Talks About Using Thought Field Therapy (TFT) to Treat Physical Pain

Safe, Pain Relief with Thought Field Therapy (TFT)

Wall Street Journal article says “Top Pain Scientist Fabricated Data in Studies, Hospital Says”

“The anesthesiologist allegedly faked data in 21 studies on the use of various painkillers, including Vioxx”.

Pain is the most common symptom for which older adults, those aged 65 and older, visit their doctor. The older adult population is rapidly increasing as the baby boomers age.

In the United States, experts often consider pain a silent epidemic. In the U.S., an estimated 50 million people suffer from chronic pain caused by a disorder, disease or accident.  An additional 25 million people suffer acute pain resulting from surgery or accidents.

The loss of workplace productivity due to pain continues to be a substantial burden on society. In a study done in 2000 it was reported that 36 million Americans missed work in the previous year due to pain and that 83 million indicated that pain affected their participation in various activities.1

From these statistics it is clear that pain and its treatment is a major problem confronting our modern culture. A survey done by the American Pain Society2 in 1999 revealed that more than 40% of people suffering moderate to severe pain were unable to find adequate pain relief.

Inadequate pain relief is one of the top reasons people experience a reduced quality of life.Increasing anxiety is yet another reason for diminishing quality of life.  The medications for both of these often interrelated issues, are usually toxic leading to many complications and side-effects, even death.  Individuals on blood thinners can’t even take most medications for physical pain and are left with little or no option for their pain relief.

Thought Field Therapy (TFT) is a little-known, but highly effective, drug-free and non-invasive way to reduce or eliminate even chronic pain without the risk of medications.  TFT was discovered and developed by California clinical psychologist, Dr. Roger Callahan. It works by combining modern psychology and the acupressure meridian system with nature’s healing system.

With the known risks of painkillers, the fraud appearing regularly in the studies of these painkillers, suggesting unknown risks, we need to help pain sufferers learn and use safer methods for managing pain.

3Researchers at Oxford University in the United Kingdom have found that the anxiety caused by the anticipation or experience of pain makes the perceived level of pain much worse.  This often leads to the addition of anxiety medications, which have their own set of risks and side-effects.  TFT effectively reduces or eliminates anticipatory anxiety in addition to reducing the pain

Length of relief from pain, per occurrence, is also important to the sufferer.  In a 4study, TFT provided longer relief than that experienced from pain medications.  (a free copy of this study is available on www.TFTRX.com).

5Statistically significant results were obtained with all problems and symptoms treated with TFT in a study at Kaiser Behavioral Health Services.  These problems  included anxiety, depression, alcohol abuse, anger, anxiety due to medical condition, bereavement, and chronic pain along with others.

“When I observe a number of suffering patients who did not respond to our usual treatment modalities, suddenly get better after TFT treatments are given, I don’t need a double-blind controlled study to tell me the value of Callahan Techniques® TFT.”
James McKoy, MD, Chief, Pain Clinic, Chief, Rheumatology Service, Assistant Chief, Neuroscience Department

Pain relief can be one of the most important means for improving the quality of life for thousands of people.Individuals suffering from chronic diseases like arthritis, cancer, heart disease or fybromyalgia can use TFT in conjuction with their medications to reduce the risk of extended medication use and consequently enhance their effect.

Doesn’t it make sense to use a natural, drug-free option for pain management and pain relief before spending any sum of money on medications with side-effects and risks.
